Get ready Allstars we play the Golden Otters in Round 1 this Sunday at 10am.
Yes, it sucks that it is so early. But suck it up and come out to play. Make sure you do these things for game day:
- Email Ben and tell him if you can come or you can’t so we can get a good count or alternate players
- Bring your glove (or tell someone you need an extra)
- Call somebody if you need a ride
- Get directions here: Welles Park Google Map (fields all over the park, but we saw only the Northwest most corner of the park being used for Softball
- Go over the Sportsmonster Softball League Rules
- Kick some ass.
Email Ben to say if you can make it or not. Leave a comment or email me or Ben if you have comments like, “10am sucks, who books this shit?” or “I will be soooo tired, how am I gona hit all those bombs?”
Watch out Golden Otters!

Captian Ben or Co-Captain Extraodinaire Maximilian Page,
Do you know what color out uniforms are? I’m tring to color-coordinate my arm bands and hat combo so I can look as dashing as possible. You gotta look good to play good.

Our color is Red and I’ll be bringing our shirts from the GOOSE to the game. At least we can look like a team if we’re not going to play like a team.
Lunch at the GOOSE after the game!

I have red arm bands too, but do I really want arm band tan is the question?
And Ben, what do you mean by not play like a team? We are gonna play like a team and kick some Otter ass.

Although the start time of 10AM is merely disappointing, as it cramps
my sunday summertime lifestyle, the fact that my Captain has lost his
sense of “team” is downright tragic.
Captain, how am I supposed to hit bombs into the atmosphere if my
leader prefers the name Nancy over Ben? How am I supposed to mow down
Otters as I round the plates, helping my team taste victory if you
claim there is no team? How am I supposed to wear red, with or
without sweat bands, pump my fist and shout, “Yes! I am a Former
Hillenbrand Allstar!”?
So I didn’t make it to practice last Sunday. Big deal. That doesn’t
mean that I won’t bring the heat when I come face to face with the
Otters! I’ve read team rule #3. I know what up. I also know that I
will see you at the ass crack of 10am THIS Sunday and I will be there
with my glove–ready to perform unbelieveable field skills and double
plays so rediculous you will go blind.

Ha! I love Emily, and Ben you deserve the bantering after your comment. AND no one wants fucking bar food at 11 am post softball. We should go and get breakfast after the game or better yet brunch! Yum.

Emily what can I say when we have a roaring team of 7 at practice. And yes sweat bands are a requirement.
June 27th, 2008 at 4:00 pm
wait, I have to wear a sweatband??
I’m going with stirrups. Anyone else wearing stirrups?
July 5th, 2008 at 5:00 pm
I am down with stirrups….can we all wear matching red hair ribbons, too? That would look quite fierce!
